Welcome to the Rapha/One More City Training series. Each week we will increase our distance and intensity, helping to build up your strength with the ultimate goal of completing the challenging 100 miles on October 19th. Before we roll out, we introduce each other and will talk about group riding safety. We will roll out across the Golden Gate Bridge, through Sausalito and onto the Marin Bike Path. We will turn around about half way up the path and on our return, we will have an optional stop for coffee at Equator at Tam Junction or in Sausalito. The goal is to loosen up the legs, shake out the nerves, and get to know one another. Shoe/Pedal retention is required on all rides. Whereas we love our tri friends, there can be no tri bikes nor e-bikes.

Therefore please download the route and be prepared to find your own way back if you happen to get dropped from the ride. Again we hit one of the classic rides of the Bay Area. It’s the bike path to the roundabout where we go right and head into the town of Strawberry. As we continue counterclockwise, we work our way through the beautiful neighborhoods before hitting Tiburon town center for coffee. After a nice break, we will continue counterclockwise on Paradise Drive into Larkspur, turning back onto the bike path and back into the city. Welcome to the Rapha/One More City Training series. NEW ROUTE TO AVOID ROAD CLOSURES Road should be open by the time we get to the bridge. We can also add more to the Headlands part (and if folks want to peel off before then…no sweat!) We’re working with what we got! See you 9:00am at Rapha // ROLL AT 9:30! Hi Friends, We're well aware of the triathlon near the GGB. And we are planning contingencies if we can't get to the bridge (I'm doing a test ride Saturday to see if it's not too challenging getting to the bridge). If that is the case, we'll have an alternative route planned. Either way...we'll ride bikes ;) Also - the Rapha Clubhouse isn't open when we meet, but you can use the bathrooms across the street at Shake Shack. Join for our monthly Women's Ride. This month we'll be testing out our climbing (and descending) skills with a classic "ocho" (get it...the route makes a figure 8 ;) Be sure to bring your flat fixing gear (and skills) and we'll create a few regroups along this route to ensure we can keep the team together. UPDATED NOTE: This is a dirt route so BE PREPARED WITH PLENTY OF FOOD AND WATER. You’ll be able to stop in Mill Valley (food and water), West Point Inn (water), & Pantoll Campground (water). You’re gonna be out there for a while. overpack > underpack. Our ode to the last great madness of cycling, A Day in Hell challenges you to take on your toughest backroads and bridleways, in our homage to the road to Roubaix. This year, we have curated a ride challenge you can take on at your own pace. This ride will not be a group Rapha Ride Leader-led ride. Take the challenge on with your friends or by yourself. Just remember to prepare for a long, tough, yet rewarding day on the bike. Meet at Rapha SF on Saturday, April 6. Meet time 8:00 a.m. for an 8:30 departure. **** ATTENTION: GRAVEL/CX/MTB bikes Required. **** Do not recommend anything less than 38mm, but 40mm+ is best. PLEASE BE PREPARED WITH PLUGS, TUBES, SEALANT, ETC. YES YOU JUST DO IT. Note: The top half of Eldridge (after climbing up Mt. Tam via Railroad Grade) is a little dicey on a non-MTB -- it has both short rock garden patches + loose sections with marbles on top of hard pack. This section has a high risk of flatting/puncturing if you're sending it. Please use caution on it, and don't be a hero. Never shame on hike-a-bike if needed. This trail's worth it though! The backside of Tam is gorgeous after the winter rain.

We'll meet at Entwined on JFK @6:30 (leave by 6:35) before crossing the bridge and heading down to ft.Baker before tackling Superhawk™️. We'll regroup at the summit before heading down the backside, around pt. bonita (optional) and up to battery townsley for another regroup before heading back on bunker rd. through the tunnel and back to the city for a coffee at The Coffee Movement on Balboa. Come join for a dirt ride with a bit of road in between. It starts off at 8:00 am for coffee at Rapha HQ with an 8:30 rollout. We will take the road all the way into mill valley where we will fuel up at Equator coffee in Mill Valley before the dirt begins. We will climb Rail Road Grade all the way up to East Peak. After descending towards Rock Springs, we take a turn to add on the next dirty section Laurel Del (depending on trail conditions). After hopping back on the 6th and seventh sister, we descend down to Pantol Ranger Station to refill the water, then continue our descent down the single track dirt section of coastal view. After bypassing Muir beach, we climb Dias Ridge, our final dirt section of the day. On our way down to Tam Junction, we can call a quick audible to refill coffee at Equator/Tam Junction before heading back through Sausalito to the bridge, This ride is intermediate to advanced. Gravel bikes with foot retention required. Please bring all mechanical tools and plenty of nutrition. We will do our best to call out regroup options.

Join us this Saturday for some dirty Headlands and the best gravel riding Marin has to offer. We will start at 8:00 am for coffee at Rapha HQ and roll out at 8:30. After the bridge we climb briefly to the roundabout and descend coastal, crossing to Bobcat and descend Marincello. After a coffee at equator in Mill Valley, (this will likely be a 15-20+ minute stop depending on how busy Equator is), we will work our way towards the Queen of the dirty climbs, Railroad Grade all the way to East Peak where we will take a well deserved break. From there, we will take the road all the way back to Tam. Junction, through Sausalito and back to HQ. I’ll be grabbing a burger at Shake Shack afterwards. Care to join me? It is all about the festive and flattish kilometers, and we will do many on this gorgeous route through Marin County. We are heading to Fairfax, Nicasio, and back through the beautiful Samuel P.
